Education carries out the task of developing an individual. Nowadays the importance of a foreign language as a school subject
is on increase, as it plays an invaluable role the self-development of pupils. Society
expects schools to prepare an individual, who is able and willing to be involved
in cross-cultural interactions of the World's population. That is impossible without
the knowledge of foreign languages, without respectful attitude towards
other nations and interest in learning other civilisations' history and
culture. Naturally, learning two, three or more foreign languages
leads to harmonisation of a person's individuality, development
of intellectual potential, as well as emotional.
That is what influenced the establishment of a school like ours.
School's model is based around "real-life" principle, integration into world economy - extension of political and cultural links with other countries. Entire content of the school's study process is directed towards individual-oriented approach. The idea behind this is to provide pupils with environment for individuality growth, to involve into learning the whole individuality of a pupil, not just his or her knowledge and memory (reproductive level).
Methods of organising study process
Individual work plan for every teacher
Annual "open lessons"
Experience share through reports and articles
Speeches at conferences, methodological meetings and academic meetings
Extra lessons according to specific areas of pupils' interest
Systematic exchange of experience at annual meetings, organisation of "subject weeks"
Exchange of experiences with lecturers from Korea
Short course programmes in Korea and USA
Common aims and objectives
To create maximum
opportunity for intellectual, moral, emotional development of individuals
To provide pupils with
strong knowledge along with the ability to independently improve it
To teach foreign
languages to the level sufficient for professional and every-day use, reading of
general literature and periodic publications.
To form individuals
with developed intelligence and high level of education, who are adopted to the life in
society and prepared to undertake professional educational programmes.
